mich asked:
I am planning a destination wedding in July and am trying to figure out what time is best to photograph in if I want my ceremony at sunset? The ceremony shouldn’t take longer than 20 minutes so if the ceremony is at 7 will I still have good light or should I push the ceremony to 6-6:30? Help!

I would definitly push it up to about 530 or 6, only because ceremonies never start when they are supposed to, so say you are running 30 minutes late, you start at 6, have a 45 minute long ceremony and still have about an hour to get beautiful pictures. This way you wont be rushing to take pictures before you run out of daylight.

It depends. If you are going to have good lighting then that should be fine, if you are more in the dark, the picture will be too dark.

I would recommend to start with the ceremony 1 hour before sunset, then there is still enough time to take some family pictures and candids on the beach, when the sun is down it is dark within 20 minutes.

I would have the ceremony start at 6:00. That way you can get pictures in the daylight still, and then when the sun starts going down, you can do a 2nd round of pictures with the sunset. This way, you get BOTH! (this is what I would want)
